Rhinoplasty, medically known as rhinoplasty, is a surgical procedure to improve the shape and function of the nose. The surgery is usually performed under general anesthesia.
The surgeon accesses the internal structures of the nose by making small incisions through the nostrils.
After the needed changes are made, the incisions are closed.
Plaster or splint can be used on the nose after surgery.
Swelling and bruising decrease in the first few weeks.
Full recovery and final results are usually visible within a few months.
